I love my family but I don't want the life they want for me

My parents have always been supportive, but they have a very specific vision for what success looks like. The older I get, the more I realize that what I want out of life is different from what they imagined for me. I don't want to disappoint them, but I also don't want to live someone else's version of a good life.

They say things like “we did everything for you” and “so now you just leave?” I love them. I’m not cutting them off.
